Rifle Pedantry

A “Bushmaster” is a brand name, not a type of rifle.  Lots of other companies make the make type of rifle.  Bushmaster is not the exclusive maker (over 20 companies make AR15 parts and major components not counting all the hundreds of places that assemble guns from parts) , the first (Armalite), or even the biggest (DPMS even makes more) or the best (no agreement on who is) or even the best known (Colt).  They are not what Xerox is to copy machines or Coke is to soft drinks or Kleenex is to tissue paper.

SO STOP CALLING IT A BUSHMASTER AS IF THAT IS A NOUN.  IT’S A RIFLE.

If they only ban bushmaster’s I’d probably feel a little better. Bushmaster could sell out to someone else.

Unfortunately, Feinstien’s list is a little more comprehensive. Don’t get worked up over some airhead useful idiot on the news.

  2. LL says:

That’s ok, the whole list has a lot of “AK type” weapons, you know, those “Avtomat Kalashnikova” types! Nomenclature means jack to them.

Was it really necessary to open their gun grab with a prayer? Could they possibly get any lower or more fake?

  4. Carnivore says:

    Were they surrounded by children?

Noted a whole lot of supplication to God at the inauguration too.

The Left sure got pious all of the sudden.
